F1.4 is better than F1.8. The larger the sensor the better the low light performance. 1/1.8" is better (bigger) than 1/2.7". The higher the megapixels for the same size sensor the worse the low light performance. A 4MP camera with a 1/1.8" sensor will perform better than a 8MP camera with that same 1/1.8" sensor.
The standalone macro cameras are mostly garbage, like the 2MP one in the OnePlus 8. However, adding autofocus to the ultrawide and getting a high resolution macro photo with good depth of field from that is really cool. Check out these shots from Redmi K30 pro: Frog eggs. Onion and fly.MP refers to the megapixel, which is the measurement of a camera’s resolution. 1 megapixel is the equivalent of 1 million pixels. So the higher the megapixel count (1MP, 2MP, etc.), the better the resolution the camera has. What’s the difference between the 4MP and 8MP?
